The healthcare sector is particularly well represented with two full-service hospitals, eight rehabilitation clinics,  work integration social enterprises and numerous healthcare providers. The majority of people work in this sector. The manufacturing industry strengthens the town’s economic structure. Michelin is the biggest employer here, and companies like Scheider Optik or KHS enjoy a worldwide reputation.

The retail trade is exceptionally well developed, making Bad Kreuznach an attractive regional centre. The large pedestrian zone in particular offers a stylish shopping experience.

An attractive holiday destination

Your holiday begins in the centre of Bad Kreuznach. The picturesque historical quarter, the riverside area of both arms of the Nahe and the parks merge seamlessly into a charming natural landscape. The long-established spa resort Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg is also part of Bad Kreuznach. A green belt of parks extends from Kurpark gardens to Kurpark gardens, forming a holiday island. The pedestrian zone is just a few minutes’ walk from Bad Kreuznach's Kurpark gardens. In 2022, 130,000 guests spent 600,000 nights in Bad Kreuznach’s clinics, hotels, guest houses and holiday apartments. There are 3,500 beds available for holidaymakers, spa guests, business travellers, conferences and health tourism. An estimated 2.6 million guests visit the city as day visitors to take advantage of the diverse recreational and leisure offerings (dwif, Study on tourism as an economic factor in Bad Kreuznach 2019).
