Spa quarter – Badewörth island – Bad Münster am Stein
From 1820 on, the spa quarter began to develop on wasteland stretching from the Nahebrücke bridge to today’s Salinenbrücke bridge, and continued to grow until the First World War. Parks and elegant villas are still characteristic of the spa quarter today. Although most of the elegant grand hotels have disappeared, a chain of parks extending from Bad Kreuznach’s spa gardens (Kurpark) into Salinental valley remains a distinctive feature of the landscape. Together with the Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg spa centre, there is an unbroken stretch of parkland along the Nahe river.
