Your tourism contribution helps us to offer a diverse range of services

The town of Bad Kreuznach is responsible for the maintenance of numerous spa and tourist facilities. In order to help finance this range of services, all officially recognised health resorts charge overnight guests a tourist tax. In Bad Kreuznach, this tax amounts to € 3.50 per person/night and is payable from the age of 18 years at the respective place of accommodation. It is a contribution to the upkeep of the thermal springs, thermal baths, graduation towers, parks, visitors’ centre Haus des Gastes, water treading pool, and the various events for guests in Bad Kreuznach. On payment of the tourist tax you receive the spa guest card. Holders of the spa guest card travel free of charge on buses and trains in Bad Kreuznach, have access to certain offers reserved for our guests, as well as discounts in leisure facilities of the city. Severely disabled persons are exempt from paying the tourist tax.

Reassessment of the guest contribution

From January 1, 2024, a guest contribution of €3.50 will be charged for each overnight stay. The exemption for overnight guests staying in the city for professional reasons will no longer apply. For long-term guests (from 40 overnight stays and owners of second homes), the annual guest contribution is set at € 140.
