In Bad Kreuznach, a number of shops await the discerning shopper. The cosy tea shop with its tasting room, boutiques with a personal touch, jewellers and goldsmiths with an exclusive range of jewellery, bookshops for browsing, department stores, drugstores, shoe shops for every wallet, opticians and lots more ...

Two-kilometre long shopping street

Shoppers can find everything here, from food, textiles and shoes, to electrical goods and DIY stores. The town’s retail segment has an annual turnover of over €400 million, including €153 million in the town centre alone. Bad Kreuznach has a number of superstores as well as an extensive pedestrian zone. Mannheimer Straße is the town’s main shopping street and is almost 2 kilometres long. With a total sales area of over 50,000 m2, the shops here meet shoppers’ every need. The combination of well-known chains and department stores as well as small, individual shops run by their owners, make Bad Kreuznach the shopping centre for the entire region.

Fresh and varied: our weekly market

On Tuesdays and Fridays, regional merchants and growers sell fresh produce at the traditional weekly market on the Kornmarkt square (corn market) in Mannheimer Straße. After Mainz, this is the second largest market in the Rheinhessen and Naheland regions. Every market day from 7am - 1pm (just 150m from the inner town car park in Mühlenstraße), 40 market stalls offer fresh regional produce, fruit and vegetables, eggs, meat, sausage/cold meats and fish, pot plants and cut flowers, game and horsemeat, freshly pressed oils, baked goods and pastries, organic products, honey, jams and jellies, Greek and international specialities.
