The nature station in Bad Münster

The nature station demonstrates clearly the particular biodiversity of the Nahe region. It is only here that you have the opportunity to get a close look at the rare dice snake.

The wildlife of the Nahe valley

In the Lebendige Nahe (Living Nahe) nature station in the historical spa assembly rooms of Bad Münster am Stein-Ebernburg, you can see fire salamanders, dice snakes and other animals that are important for the valuable natural landscape of the Nahe valley. An exhibition illustrates clearly that this Mediterranean landscape in the middle of Germany is unique owing to the favourable climatic conditions and the protection of natural areas. Key topics like natural crabs or mining in Huttental complete the subjects covered! It is also ideal for schools and youth groups. A lecture programme is offered all year round.
