The Lodge

Office

The building was built as a freemasons’ lodge in 1925. After many years of alternative use, the lodge was rebuilt as a guest-house with an impressive auditorium (Rudi-Müller auditorium).

Guests can experience cabaret, classical and modern music, theatre and readings with state-of-the-art technology and excellent acoustics. Numerous lectures and information events round off the offer.

Rebuilding the dilapidated building was only possible because two private foundations supported the investment with donations. Up to 36 cabarets and concerts are organised yearly by the foundations’ teams, working in an honorary capacity. The programme makers have set themselves a high standard of quality. Almost without exception nationally well-known figures of the cabaret scene appear on stage in our guest-house making it a nationally known venue.

In addition to the Rudi-Müller-Auditorium, the guest-house also houses tourist information offices, seminar and conference rooms, an internet café and a reading room.
