Whether by foot or by bicycle – the Nahe region around Bad Kreuznach is an eldorado for hikers, who appreciate the variety of natural landscape.

Alongside a close network of regional hiking and cycle paths which are well mapped out, the long Nahe cycle path between Bingen and the Bostalsee (Bostal lake) is a must. The section between Bad Kreuznach and Bad Sobernheim along the Nahe river has relatively few slopes, is an excellently developed cycle path and must be one of the most beautifully scenic cycle paths in Germany. Bad Kreuznach is a perfect starting point for shorter trips of up to 45 km through Rhine-Hesse and the picturesque Alsenz valley.

Even spontaneous decisions can be taken care of. A number of bicycle rental companies provide wheels on short notice, one of those being the bicycle rental next to the tourist information office in the town’s guest-house.
